Aubry Dameron
President
Aubry is committed to improving accessibility to legal services for all members of the community. She practices civil litigation at Springer & Lyle in Denton, TX, and is actively involved in the Denton County Bar Association. Aubry is actively involved in her church, her children’s schools and activities, and her community. Aubry graduated from SMU Dedman School of Law and lives in DFW with her family.
Alexa Nichols
Director of Finance
Alexa has a passion for helping underserved people. Alexa is a practicing attorney for a federal agency in Dallas, TX. Outside of work and her activities with RISE, Alexa is active in her church and the Dallas Association of Young Lawyers. She also serves as a mentor to law students and those impacted by paralysis. Alexa graduated from SMU Dedman School of Law in 2016, where she concentrated on healthcare and business.
Mike Hess
Director of Education
Mike firmly believes in public service and strongly advocates for those in need. He graduated from SMU Dedman School of Law and is a practicing attorney in the DFW area. Prior to law school, Mike was an Infantry Officer in the United States Army for seven years. He is a husband and father to 3 beautiful daughters. He enjoys spending time with his family and assisting others in need.
